In the latest notice, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announces that they have opened the registration window for July 2024-25 admissions for a fresh batch. The application deadline is June 30, 2024.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) courses through the university's official website at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in and can register at ignou registration.

"Admissions for the July 2024 cycle for UG, PG, PG diploma, diploma, certificate, and awareness programs through ODL and online modes have commenced," IGNOU stated on X. IGNOU provides a diverse range of programs, including bachelor's, master's, postgraduate diplomas, diplomas, and certificate courses.

Eligibility Criteria:

Here are the eligibility criteria, that interested students are required to fulfill before applying for the registration in IGNOU online/ distance program:

  • Students seeking Undergraduate (UG) admission to IGNOU must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% from a recognized educational board.
  • Candidates for Postgraduate (PG) courses must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% grades.
  • To be eligible for Diploma or Certificate courses, students must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • Admission to all courses, save PhD, B.Ed, and PBScN, will be based on a merit list.

Documents Required:

The following documents are required for the IGNOU registration procedure. These documents must be the required size as shown below:

  • Student photo at passport size with a file size of 100 KB.
  • Signature of the student with a file size of 100 KB
  • Scanned copies of educational certificates have a file size of 200KB.
  • Required a scanned copy. Caste Certificate (If you belong to SC, ST, and OBC) with a file size of 200KB.
  • A scanned copy of experience evidence (if you have any), with a file size of 200KB.

How to Apply:

Interested students need to follow the basic steps to register for the IGNOU January 2024-25 session, here are the following steps:

  • Step 1: Go to the IGNOU's official website, ignouadmissions.samarth.edu.in.
  • Step 2: On the homepage, look for the 'July Admissions 2024' link and click it.
  • Step 3: You will be routed to a new website with connections to Online and ODL programs.
  • Step 4: Select your selected program, complete the application form, and submit all relevant papers.
  • Step 5: Pay the application cost and you are done.
  • Step 6: Download and print the application form on an A-4 sheet of paper for future reference.

Registration Fees:

When completing your registration form, remember to pay two fees: a non-refundable registration fee and the program cost for your first semester or year. The registration price for undergraduate courses is Rs 300, which may be paid with a debit or credit card or through net banking. Postgraduate degree expenses range between Rs 8,400 to Rs 45,000.

 If you cancel after admission, a 15% fee of Rs 2,000 will be deducted. If you choose a soft copy of the SLM, you will receive a refund minus the registration price. If you cancel admission after 60 days from the closing date, you will not receive a refund.
