The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made available the UGC NET 2024 application form link for the June 2024 session. Candidates who want to take the UGC NET 2024 test must first fill out an application form on the official website.
The UGC NET June 2024 test is planned to take place online beginning June 16, 2024. This year, the UGC NET 2024 test will include a total of 83 courses. The UGC NET June 2024 application form must be filed online by May 10th. On May 13, the NTA will also launch an online UGC NET application form correction 2024 tool. Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible, applicants must have received at least 55% of their master's degree. Candidates from reserved groups, on the other hand, receive a 5% relaxation. Candidates must have completed their post-graduate studies in relevant subjects at a UGC-recognized institution or university.
Fees:
The General category requires applicants to pay a fee of Rs 1150, while general EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates must pay Rs 600. SC/ST/Third-gender applicants will be required to pay a fee of Rs 325. Candidates in the PwD category are exempt from paying any fees.
What is new about this session:
The UGC Chairman, Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, declared that applicants enrolled in a four-year/eight-semester bachelor's degree program in their final semester/year may also register for the test. These applicants can appear in any field they want to pursue for a PhD, regardless of the discipline in which they finished their four-year bachelor's degree.
Mode of Exam:
The UGC NET June 2024 will be administered completely in Computer Based Test (CBT) modality across various shifts. The test will consist of two papers, each with objective-type, multiple-choice questions. Candidates will have three hours to complete both papers, which will consist of 150 questions.

The UGC-NET test is held twice a year, in June and December, for applicants who want to be considered for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) posts at Indian universities and colleges. According to NTA data, a total of 9,45,918 applicants enrolled for the test last year, with 6,95,928 taking the exam in December 2023 at 292 centers nationwide.
