CUET, the Common University Entrance Test, is an MBA entrance exam for undergraduates, postgraduates, or PhDs or other streams like Science, Arts, or more that can be scheduled by the NTA (National Testing Agency). More than 13.6 Lakh test takers apply for it once a year. The CUET Exam will be scheduled in March 2025 and May 2025.
On November 13, 2024, the UGC (University Grants Commission) committee held a decision meeting, which made some recommendations and changes that can be discussed over the next CUET 2025 for UG. The UGC or University Grants Commission announces that the CUET Exam 2025 has some major amendments in the exam. The changes can be situated like CUET Exam conduction mode is Online Mode or CBT mode only. A syllabus can be changed by dropping 63 to 37 number of subjects.
In addition, as per the CUET's latest updates or norms, in the CUET Examination 2025, students must be obligated to attempt all the questions. UGC released some revised norms for the CUET UG and PG Exams.

Latest Changes in CUET 2025 as per the UGC norms
Some changes can be made by UGC with a discussion on 13 November 2024:
- Exam Mode- Computer-Based Test mode (CBT) and Online mode CUET for UG & CUET PG exams can be scheduled in 2025.
- Number of Subjects- Applicants are allowed to select more than 5 subjects in CUET 2025.
- Number of Test Subjects- The subjects can be set to be reduced to 37 subjects while totally relying on the GAP or General Aptitude Test.
- Mandatory Attempting Questions- It is necessitate to attempt all questions, there is no optional questions that can be offered in the exam.
- Exam Duration- For all subjects, the exam duration can be changed to 60 minutes.
- Subject Chosen Option- Test takers are allowed to choose any subject in the CUET exam from their 12th-class subjects.
- Domain Subjects in CUET 2025- Test takers can be allowed for 23 Domain Subjects in the CUET 2025 examinations, which can be sorted below:
