IIM Online Courses in IIM Part-Time PhD Eligibility & Duration

Candidates willing to pursue IIM Part-Time PhD must meet the following eligibility requirements mentioned below- 

General Requirements-

• Completed Master’s degree after 10+2+3 bachelor’s degree with 60% in aggregate from approved higher education institutions. 

OR

• Professional Qualifications such as CA, ICWA, and CS with a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 60% marks in bachelor's degree. 

OR 

• A 4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a 6.5 CGPA or equivalent Marks from a recognized higher education institution. 

Specific Requirements-

• Qualified in GATE/JRF (UGC/CSIR) taken during the last 2 years or GRE/ GMAT taken during the last five years of the admission. 

OR

• Valid Research Aptitude Test Score of the particular IIM
• Maximum age must not exceed 40 years. 

Business executives may not be able to fulfill the above-mentioned requirements. However, they can easily fulfill the eligibility requirements for Online DBA Doctorate-

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized higher education institution with professional work experience of 3 to 5 years.
• Minimum 50% marks at bachelor’s level. 

OR

• Master's degree in any discipline from a recognized higher education institution.
• Minimum 50% marks at master’s level.

Course Duration of IIM Part-Time PhD

The course duration of a Part-Time PhD at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) spans 5 to 7 years. The program is offered in blended mode and business executives are required to visit the IIM Campus at the beginning of every academic year. On the other hand, an Online DBA Doctorate can be completed within 36 months. This program does not require business executives to visit the university campus for any purpose.
