IIM Online Courses in IIM PhD Doctorate Online Eligibility & Duration

Candidates interested in PhD programs at the Indian Institute of Mangement (IIM) are expected to meet the following eligibility criteria mentioned below- 

• Candidate must have completed a master’s degree or two-year post-graduate diploma with 55% marks in aggregate. 

OR

• Candidates who have completed 5-year  Integrated Master's Degree (after higher secondary school in the 10+2 pattern) in any discipline with 55% marks in aggregate.

OR

• Candidates with professional qualifications such as CA, CS, and CMA with 50
  % marks after a bachelor's degree with 55% marks in aggregate. 

OR

• 4-year/ 8-semester bachelor's degree with at least 6.5/10 CGPA.
• Candidates must have qualified CAT (Common Aptitude Test) or  National level entrance tests such as UGC-NET JRF, GRE, GATE, and GMAT. 

The above-mentioned eligibility criteria apply to PhD programs at the Indian Institute of Mangement which are very broad and difficult to meet. In contrast, students who are enrolling in the Online DBA program have to fulfill minimal eligibility criteria as compared to IIMs. The eligibility criteria for Online DBA are mentioned below-

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution with relevant work experience of 3 to 5 years. 

OR

• Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• No requirement for an entrance test or national-level qualification. 

Duration : The duration of PhD program at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) lasts for 4 to 5 years depending upon the specialization. This period requires full commitment from PhD students towards research. On the other hand, the duration of Online DBA is just 3 years with full flexibility and accessibility. Students are open to continuing their professional commitments while pursuing Online DBA.
