The duration of most PhD programs in Spain is 3 years. Almost all the universities offering PhD programs in Spain, complete the PhD degree in 3 years.
The fee for PhD program in Spain is generally 20,000 Euros per academic year which is almost 18,00,000 in Indian currency. Apart from this, some PhD programs in Spain may cost as much as 25000 euros to 30000 euros. Whereas the students choosing to pursue an Online/PhD from Spain are required to pay INR 7,00,000 (Without Immersion) and INR 9,75,000 (With Immersion).
The students applying for regular PhD programs in Spain have to incur other expenses apart from the tuition fees. They have to bear the accommodation and food expenses which can range from 500 euros to 1000 euros per month.
If you are planning to pursue a regular PhD in Spain then definitely you have to leave your job. Whereas if you are planning to pursue an Online PhD/Online DBA, then you can continue your job while pursuing a PhD. The program offers remarkable flexibility that allows you to properly manage your professional life with academic learning.
The Students who want to apply for the apply for the regular PhD program must have completed their bachelor’s and master’s degree in relevant field. Apart from that student's bachelor’s and master's degrees must correspond to the ECTS credits with 300 points. The bachelor’s and master’s degrees of the student must be recognized equivalent by the Spanish Ministry of Education or the National Recognition Information Centre (NARIC). Students may also be required to qualify for language proficiency tests such as DELE or SIELE for proficiency in the Spanish language and TOEFL and IELTS for proficiency in English.
On the Other hand, if the student applies for the online PhD/Online DBA program, he/she is not required to fulfill such a long list of criteria. A student with a bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience can apply for an Online PhD/Online DBA program. A student with a master’s degree can apply for an online PhD/Online DBA with the requirement of any work experience.
