Let’s clear up some doubts

Yes, when the degree is awarded by a higher education institution holding UGC entitlement for online programmes. Under the UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020, a degree awarded in online mode by an entitled institution is treated as equivalent to the corresponding degree in conventional mode. Employer recognition still varies by sector and role, so check the institution's current entitlement on the UGC DEB portal before applying.
