CAT 2026 Notification OUT; Registration Starts August 3, Exam on November 29

IIMs have finally released the CAT 2026 notification with the complete schedule and now all the candidates who are looking for MBA admission can start getting ready. The registration process will begin on August 3 at 10 AM and will remain open till September 15, 2026.

Candidates seeking admission to MBA and other management programmes offered by the IIMs and participating B schools can apply online through the official CAT website. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held on November 29, 2026 in three computer based test sessions across nearly 170 test cities. So mark these dates and make sure to complete the registration before September 15.

What is CAT?

CAT is India's largest MBA entrance exam conducted every year by one of the IIMs. CAT scores are accepted by all the IIMs and also by several other leading management institutes across the country for admission to MBA and other postgraduate management programmes. So basically if you are serious about getting into a top management college in India then CAT is the most important exam you need to crack.

CAT 2026 Eligibility

Candidates can apply if they:

• Hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Belong to the SC, ST, or PwBD category with 45% marks.
• Are in the final year of their bachelor's degree.
• Hold professional qualifications such as CA, CS, CMA (ICWA), or FIAI, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria.

CAT 2026 Registration Fee

The registration fee is payable only once and is non-refundable.

Candidates can complete the application process by following these steps:

• Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
• Fill in the online application form.
• Upload the required documents.
• Select five preferred test cities.
• Pay the application fee.
