DU Admission 2026: AI-Edited Documents Will Lead to Admission Cancellation, No Fee Refund

This is a warning for all the students applying to DU that candidates should not upload AI-generated documents or edited docs as indulging in these acts will lead to straightaway legal action, and registration will be rejected additionally. 

According to the university all the candidates must upload only scanned copies of their original certificates, mark sheets and identity proofs. If any manipulated or AI edited document is found at any stage of the admission process then the candidate's registration or admission will be cancelled and the application fee will also not be refunded. So be very careful and only upload genuine original documents while applying.

What is DU Admission?

Delhi University conducts admissions to its UG and PG programmes through its online admission portal. UG admissions are done through the Common Seat Allocation System CSAS which is based on CUET UG scores while PG admissions are based on the prescribed admission process for postgraduate courses.

Who Should Follow This Notice?

This advisory is applicable to:

• Candidates applying for UG Admissions 2026.
• Candidates applying for PG Admissions 2026.
• Students who are yet to upload or verify their admission documents.

What Has Delhi University Said?

According to the public notice issued by the university:

• Do not upload AI-generated documents.
• Do not digitally edit or modify certificates or mark sheets.
• Upload only scanned copies of the original documents.
• The university will use verification tools to identify manipulated documents.
• Candidates found using fake or AI-edited documents may face legal action. 

Consequences of Uploading AI-Edited Documents

Candidates found violating the guidelines may face:

• Immediate cancellation of their application.
• Cancellation of admission, even if already granted.
• No refund of the admission or application fee.
• Legal action by the university, wherever applicable.

What Should Candidates Do?

• Upload only original scanned documents.
• Check that all uploaded certificates are clear and readable.
• Avoid using AI tools or photo-editing software to modify documents.
• Review all uploaded files before the document verification process.
