MAT September 2026 Registration LIVE; Check Exam Dates, Fees, Eligibility & How to Apply

All the candidates who are planning to pursue MBA or PGDM can now go and apply for the MAT September 2026 session. AIMA has opened the registration window for the September cycle of the Management Aptitude Test and the exam will be conducted in both Paper Based Test PBT and Computer Based Test CBT modes.

Candidates can submit their application through the official MAT website. The PBT exam is scheduled for September 13, 2026 and the CBT exam will be held on September 20, 2026. What is MAT?

MAT is a national level MBA entrance exam conducted by AIMA for admission to MBA and PGDM programmes across India. MAT scores are accepted by hundreds of management institutes in the country which gives candidates another great opportunity to secure admission beyond exams like CAT and XAT. So basically even if CAT or XAT did not go as planned, MAT is a solid option to still get into a good management college.

Candidates must:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
• Final-year undergraduate students can also apply, subject to the admission rules of participating institutes. 

How to Apply for MAT September 2026?

Candidates can complete the application process by following these steps:

• Visit the official MAT website.
• Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
• Fill in the online application form.
• Select the preferred exam mode (PBT/CBT or both).
• Upload the required documents.
• Pay the application fee online.
• Submit the form and download the confirmation page. 

What Happens Next?

After the registration window closes, AIMA will issue admit cards separately for the PBT and CBT exams. Candidates who qualify can use their MAT scores to apply for admission to participating MBA and PGDM institutes that accept MAT scores.
