The NEET UG Counselling 2026 process is set to begin soon, with the Medical Counselling Committee introducing several major reforms aimed at making admissions more transparent and student-friendly. The review of preparedness was chaired by Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, who directed officials to ensure a merit-based, technology-driven, and seamless counselling process.
The counselling, conducted under the All India Quota (AIQ), will facilitate admissions to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programmes. Officials from the Directorate General of Health Services and other stakeholders reviewed key aspects such as IT systems, cybersecurity, grievance redressal, and coordination with participating institutions.
