VIT MBA Admissions 2026 LIVE: Check Eligibility, Exams Accepted, Selection Process

The Vellore Institute of Technology has opened applications for its MBA programme for the 2026–2028 academic session. Candidates interested in pursuing management studies at VIT campuses can apply online before the deadline.

Accepted Entrance Exams

Candidates can apply using scores from the following national-level management entrance exams:

• CAT
• XAT
• MAT
• NMAT
• CMAT
• GMAT

Candidates who do not have valid scores can appear for the VIT Business School Entrance Examination (VITBEE). 

About VITBEE

• Mode: Computer-based test
• Duration: 2 hours
• Questions: 100 multiple-choice questions
• Negative marking: No

Eligibility Criteria

• A bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution
• Minimum 60% aggregate in graduation, Class 10, and Class 12
• Candidates from certain reserved categories may be eligible for relaxation as per norms
• Work experience is not mandatory but may be considered during selection

Selection Process

The selection process at VIT includes multiple parameters:

• Entrance exam score (CAT/XAT/MAT/NMAT/CMAT/GMAT or VITBEE)
• Academic performance in previous qualifications
• Work experience (if applicable)
• Personal interview
• Overall profile, including extracurricular achievements

The final selection is based on a combined evaluation of all these factors.

Scholarships and Cutoff

• Candidates scoring 95 percentile and above in CAT or XAT may be eligible for a full tuition fee waiver
• Candidates with 90 percentile and above may receive a 50% fee waiver
