Yes, as per the UGC’s guidelines for pursuing two academic courses simultaneously, you are allowed to pursue two same level (UG/PG) degree courses at the same time. However, there are some guidelines for that, as mentioned below.

  • You can pursue two full-time academic programs in physical mode, however, you have to make sure that the class timings for both programs do not overlap.

  • You can pursue one academic program in full-time physical mode and another in ODL/Online mode, or up to two ODL/Online programs simultaneously.

Thus, you have two options: one, you can pursue both MBA and MCA in the offline mode, keeping their class timings different, which is quite impossible. The second option is that you can pursue an online MBA with a regular MCA or a regular MBA with an online MCA. This way, you will be able to complete both of the programs smoothly without facing any class overlapping issues.

Yes, you can pursue two degrees at the same time. It is known as the dual degree concept, in which you can pursue two degrees of the same level. In simple terms, if you have chosen an MBA, the second degree that you can choose could be MCA. So yes, you can pursue an MBA and MCA at the same time.

You know what will be more helpful for you. You can opt to complete one degree in an online mode, and the other you can opt for in regular mode. This way, you will be able to complete both degrees at the same time easily. An online MBA or an Online MCA would be a great choice because then you will be able to complete your one degree from the comfort of your home.
