Annamalai University is one of the oldest universities located in Tamil Nadu. The university offers various programs, including the Online Master of Arts in diverse specializations. However, Annamalai University does not offer a fully Online program; individuals can still pursue an MA in social work through distance learning. Through the flexibility offered in the program, individuals can complete their program from anywhere in the world. 

The master's degree in social work offers an integrated approach to learning through both academic and practical experiences, focusing on social issues, public policy, community organization, and providing counseling.

The individuals will get domain-related knowledge, including Organizational Behaviour and Development, Mental Health and Psychiatric Disorders, Medical Social Work, Human Resource Management and Development, and other related topics. 

During their time in the program, all students will gain the knowledge/skills to address some of the world's most pressing problems (like poverty, inequality, mental illness, child abuse, etc.) that these issues affect personal development at all levels. After completing the program, students will have a chance to pursue careers in numerous different sectors, including, but not limited to, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, CSR (corporate social responsibility) units of corporations, international organizations (like the UN), facilities that provide mental health care, and research organizations.
