BITS Pilani, one of the education gems of India, stands tall among the many prestigious institutes of science and technology and has also been ever-present among the institutes providing management education. This institute has been providing executive education through its WILP (Work Integrated Learning Programmes) initiative for 43 years. This initiative has produced 1,40,000 professionals for their respective industries. The executive programs under WILP provide a curriculum that is designed, based on the latest industry practices and the students can continue their work parallelly. All the programs under WILP are conducted online and it is on par with regular programmes.

Under WILP, there are 2-year MBA programmes in eight specialisations. The eight specialisations provided are Digital Business, Business Analytics, FinTech, Consultancy Management, Manufacturing Management, Quality Management, Finance, and Hospital & Health Systems Management.

In the specialisation of digital business, one gets to learn about how digital technology is used to recreate business models that are upgraded and optimised. Also, one gets to understand the transformation of products and customer experiences. This eventually leads to implementing products innovatively better and adds value to the company’s growth. In the business analytics specialisation, the student gets to understand decision-making based on extracted data through statistical models, data analysis, and other quantitative methods. This extracted data is obtained by investigating and searching the organisation’s data.

In the specialisation of Fintech, one gets to learn how to deal with the delivery of financial services using advanced technology to carry out technical functions in areas such as banking, investing, insurance, etc. In the specialisation of Consultancy Management, the student gets to learn the methods of putting oneself into roles that involve advisory or implementation roles regarding the practices and protocols that optimise the performance of the firm.

In the specialisation of Manufacturing Management, the student gets to understand the procedures and handling of a manufacturing facility that is meant to be overseen from a managerial standpoint. Along with that, the skill to fulfil manufacturing targets such as performance, quality, volume, etc. is developed. In the specialisation of Quality Management, the student gets to learn several aspects of quality which involves overseeing the activities and tasks of the product process to be happening at a desired standard. For a quality manager, these aspects that are essential to maintaining quality standards from a managerial standpoint, are framing a quality policy, maintaining quality control & quality improvement, and creating & implementing quality planning and assurance.

In the specialisation of finance, the students get exposed to several aspects & activities of a company from a financial standpoint such as analysing reports of a company, taking measures to increase stock value to a maximum, choosing the right investment portfolio, and balancing the dynamics between risk and profitability. In the specialisation of hospital and health systems management, the student gets to understand the dynamics of how the hospital as an organisation is managed and aspects such as management of medical records, staff management, patient experience, lab management, etc.
The general fee structure of an MBA course under WILP consists of a semester fee and an admission fee. The semester fees are INR 63.5K and the admission fee is INR 16.5K. The total fees including the admission and semester fee (that is meant to be paid 4 times) is INR 2.705 Lakhs.
