A direct second-year B.Tech program is offered by the COEP Technical University. The course is meant for diploma holders and working professionals. The aim of introducing the direct second-year B.Tech (Lateral Entry) course is to advance their degree in engineering. The program is provided by a reputed educational institute in India. This program simply helps to bridge the gap between a diploma and a degree in engineering.
The 3-year program can be enrolled in by both learners who hold work experience and don’t have any work experience in related fields. Those who have work experience can apply for the flexible shift program so they don’t want to quit their jobs. However the candidates should be working within a range of 50 Km radius from the university. This allows them attend to the classes, which are mandatory for the B.Tech program, based on the guidelines set by the regulatory bodies. COEP Technological University allows students to pay fees semester-wise. The fee can be submitted online through the university portal or designated bank channels. To enroll for the COEP University, learners must follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) is the only way to get into undergraduate programs at COEP.
Step 2: Maharashtra's State Common Entrance Test (CET) cell controls the whole procedure.
Step 3: The MHT-CET/JEE Main test is mandatory for the candidates to undergo.
Step 4: The students will be considered for CAP rounds depending on their respective scores in the tests.
Step 5: Students are required to register first on the CET Cell's official website and then accurately fill out the application form.
Step 6: They will be required to upload the necessary documents for verification after the registration process is completed.
Step 7: Once verified, they can fill choices for preferred colleges and engineering branches.
Step 8: The CET Cell publishes a merit list based on marks and category.
Step 9: Seats are allotted online through multiple CAP rounds according to merit and preferences.
Step 10: Selected candidates must confirm admission by paying fees and submitting documents at the allotted institute.
Step 11: After confirmation, the student becomes officially enrolled at COEP Technological University.

The examination pattern at COEP Technological University follows a continuous assessment system. The continuous assessment system has two semesters in a year where learners are evaluated based on internal assessments, practical exams, and an end-semester examination. The marks of internal assessment are based on the performance in class tests, assignments, and lab work. The final examination tests the students' understanding of the concepts and their skills in solving problems.
