Harvard University allows students to pay their course fees in easy installments. Students can register for a Monthly Payment Plan (MPP) by paying a $35 fee per semester. Students must ensure that all their prior installments are paid to remain eligible for a Monthly Payment Plan (MPP). Students can also apply for loans at the Financial Aid Office of Harvard University. Besides this Harvard University also provides need-based Harward scholarships to over 55 percent of students. Students can also secure scholarships from outside the university through secondary schools, corporations, parental employers, civic organizations, the National Merit Scholarship Programs, and the ROTC.
Harvard University Admission Process
Admission to Harvard University is highly competitive and students must follow these steps to complete their admission process-
- Application Form- Students interested in enrolling at Harvard University are required to fill out the application form. Students are required to submit the Common Application or Coalition Application, along with Harvard's supplementary questions. Along with the personal information, students are required to attach the following documents to the application form-
- Essays- Students need to write and submit personal essays as specified in the application.
- Transcripts- Academic transcripts of previous institutions are required to be attached.
- Standardized Tests- Students are required to SAT or ACT scores for undergraduate courses and GRE, and GMAT for postgraduate courses in the application form.
- Letters of Recommendation- students are required to submit letters of recommendation from academic or professional references.
- Statement of Purpose- Statement of Purpose may also be required to be provided for certain courses by the students in the application form.
- Language Proficiency- Language proficiency test qualification is mandatory for admission at Harvard University.
- Resume- A detailed resume specifying all the information regarding the student is also needed along with the application form.
- Pay the application fee- Students are required to pay the application form to successfully submit the application form.
- Application review- The admission committee of Harvard University makes a thorough examination of the application form submitted by the students. Resume, Statement of Purpose, Essay, and Letter of Recommendation are all considered in the application process.
- Interview- Once the application review has been completed, the admission committee will shortlist all the appropriate candidates based on their application forms. These shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview with the admission committee.
- Admission Decision- Based on the performance in the interview, academic qualifications, essay, and extracurricular activities, the admission decision is finalized by the admission committee.

Harvard University Examination Pattern
Harvard University evaluates students based on examination formats and patterns depending on the course, department, and level of study. Harvard University conducts midterm examinations halfway through the semester which include multiple-choice questions, short answer questions, essays, or problem-solving tasks. Final examinations are conducted at the end of the semester. The final examination is comprehensive and covers all the course material. Students enrolled in PhD programs are required to complete the mandatory coursework in the initial years. After finishing the coursework, PhD candidates begin their work on original research in their selected area of research. After the research is complete, students prepare a dissertation/thesis to state the outcome of their research. At last, they have to appear for a grand viva where they have to defend their research outcome before the departmental research committee.
