IIM Ahmedabad Master of Business Administration (MBA) Fees

This MBA programme at IIMA, also known as PGP (Post Graduate Programme in Management) is a regular type that takes place within the walls of the IIM Ahmedabad campus. Students of this programme are taught in classrooms, have access to the library, network with peer groups through innovation & exchange of ideas and have face-to-face interaction with the IIM faculty. All the above amenities are provided throughout the time spent by the student at the campus during the programme. This programme has a duration of two years consisting of 3 terms of core courses in the first year and remaining terms of elective courses in the second year. This programme provides specialisation in Food and Agri-Business Management.

IIM Ahmedabad MBA-PGPX Fees

IIM Ahmedabad’s Post Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX) is a 1-year residential programme meant for executives who aim to upgrade their managerial skills and be qualified for roles that belong to higher management levels and have an additional set of responsibilities. It is held within the boundaries of the campus where the students get to develop their knowledge & skills with the mentorship of IIM Ahmedabad faculty and associated industry experts. The programme fees of the students depend on whether they are single (given Single Student Housing) or married (given Married Student Housing) with respect to their accommodation. For single students, the programme fee is INR 33 Lakhs and for married students, it is INR 35 Lakhs.

The programme fee of IIM Ahmedabad PGPX covers network charges, library, books & course materials, tuition fees, computing, accommodation, International Immersion Programme(excludes travel expenses, and stay-related expenses). When it comes to the caution deposit, for the single student it is INR 35K and for the married student, it is INR 70K.

IIM Ahmedabad provides scholarships to students who can’t afford to pay for an MBA degree. Based on several factors, there are a variety of scholarships provided by & through IIM Ahmedabad. (i) SC/ST Scholarships

• For students enrolled in postgraduate programmes.
• The student receiving this scholarship must belong to the SC/ST category.
• Scholarship period of 10 months.
• Scholarship amount will be INR 150 per month.

(ii) Government of India Scholarships

• Minority Welfare Scholarship (Merit-cum-Means)

  • Granted by Ministry of Minority Affairs.
  • Awarded on the basis of merit-cum-means.
  • For students who belong to minority communities.
  • For students with a family income which is below INR 2.5 Lakhs per annum.

• Scholarships for Students with Disabilities

  • Given to students of merit.
  • Given to students who belong to DA/PwD( (Differently Abled/Person with Disabilities) category.
  • For the students with a family income below INR 6 Lakhs per annum.

• SC/ST Scholarship

  • Granted to students of merit.
  • The student must belong to SC/ST communities.

• Scholarships for fresh graduates from IIM Ahmedabad who have taken up the job of a Non-Profit Professional in a “Not-for-Profit” Organisation:

  • IIM Ahmedabad provides financial assistance for those who have joined and are working in a Not-for-Profit Organisation/ NGOs.
  • Given to two students from each batch.
  • The scholarship is given for 3 consecutive years to pay off the loans which they took to pay for the MBA programme. 
  • The scholarship provides around INR 3-4 Lakhs per student per annum.

• Assistance ships for fresh graduates of IIM Ahmedabad who want to pursue doctoral studies

  • Meant for post-graduates who just passed out after the completion of an MBA programme.
  • In addition to that, these students want to pursue doctoral programmes in India or abroad.
  • 2 students from the latest batch will be picked out.
  • The scholarship that will be provided for these students will be in the range of INR 3-4 Lakhs.
  • The duration of the scholarship is at most 3 consecutive years.

• Scholarships for IIM Ahmedabad fresh graduates aspiring to be entrepreneurs

  • Two students selected from each batch for this scholarship.
  • Meant for budding entrepreneurs.
  • The selected student will be provided with a monthly stipend of INR 30K.
  • The duration of the scholarship is 3 consecutive years.

• Shri GC Mittal Entrepreneurial Aid

  • Meant for graduates who just finished their MBA and want to start a venture.
  • When the student comes up with a business proposal and gets approved, he/she will be given the aid of INR 2 Lakhs
  • The student should not attend the placement event.
  • For students who have taken a minimum loan of INR 1 Lakh and family income below INR 8 Lakhs per annum.
  • The aid will be given on the day of convocation.

• PGP Alumni Endowment funds

  • This scholarship is meant for those students who are economically and socially challenged.
  • Nine of PGP-1 & NIne of PGP-2 students are selected to be given a grant of around 2-3 Lakhs
  • The students applying for this programme will be selected on the basis of their applications for the special need based scholarship
  • When these students are doing jobs they are supposed to contribute back to this scholarship to provide funds for the new students in need of financial support. This has to happen within 5-7 years since becoming a post-graduate and along with that, the student while receiving the scholarship must consent to contribute in the future.
  • The grace period for starting to contribute is one year after graduation.

• Class of PGP 2001, Peri Viswanath Scholarship

  • Initiative taken up by the peers of the late Mr. Peri Viswanath, to carry on his legacy.
  • This financial assistance is provided to one student of PGP or PGP-FABM(Food and Agri-Business Management).
  • Students will be given a scholarship of INR 2 Lakhs per year and INR 4 Lakhs for two years.
  • Merit-cum-means scholarship.
  • The merit of the student will be evaluated based on past academic performances and first-year performance.
  • In the means aspect, the student comes from an economic background in which the annual family income is below INR 15 Lakhs.
  • The scholarship is meant to be granted in the 2nd year.
  • The student benefitting from this program is supposed to contribute to future beneficiaries within 5-7 years after graduation. When the student receives the scholarship he/she has given consent to contribute. Students who have passed out using the scholarship have a grace period of one year after graduation for contribution.
