IIM Kozhikode Syllabus / Curriculum
The syllabus of the DPM offered by the IIM Kozhikode is research-oriented. The program has two phases: coursework and thesis research. The program includes both lecture methods as well as experiential learning methods such as case discussions, role plays, simulations, group discussions, and projects. On completion of the first phase of the curriculum, the individuals also have to qualify for the Area Comprehensive Qualifying Examination (CQE) to proceed to the second phase of the program.

The Doctoral Program in Management is a 5-year full-time program.
IIM Kozhikode provides a PhD in various fields under the ‘Doctoral Program in Management’ (DPM).
To take admission in the DPM program of IIM Kozhikode, the individuals are required to meet certain eligibility criteria that include completing their master's degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 55% or any equivalent program.
IIM Kozhikode offers financial assistance to individuals enrolled in a doctoral program in management. They will receive a stipend of Rs. 42,000/- per month for the first and second years, Rs. 45,000/ per month on qualifying the Comprehensive examination, and Rs. 50,000/- per month after presenting and defending the Thesis proposal.
IIM Kozhikode offers various specializations in the Doctoral Program in Management that are- Economics, Finance, Accounting and Control, Humanities and Liberal Arts in Management, Information Systems, Marketing Management, Organizational Behavior & Human Resources, Qualitative Methods, Operations Management, and Strategic Management.
