IIM Ranchi Admission Process

The PhD in Management is a full-time doctoral program that prepares students to be accomplished researchers, teachers, and leaders. It integrates knowledge of management with strong research in order to address business, policy, and academic issues.

Any candidate holding a Master's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, B.Tech/4-year degree, or professional qualification like CA, ICWA, or CS (with corresponding marks) is eligible to apply. Final-year students are also eligible subject to completion of degree on or before June 30, 2025.

In the first two years, students cover core courses such as economics, statistics, research methods, theory of management, and a chosen specialization (finance, marketing, HR, operations, or analytics). This is followed by a qualifying exam. Subsequently, they focus on advanced research, seminars, and dissertation work.
