IIM Sambalpur provides a 2-year Executive MBA programme for working professionals looking to upskill themselves to higher managerial roles driving the organisation, through developing decision-making skills in dynamic environments. This course gives an advantage for the student to continue working and studying at the same time. This course is delivered in hybrid mode, in which the classes are held online every alternate weekend. Along with that, there is a two-time campus immersion in which the offline classes will be held and the student also gets to be exposed to the campus facilities. The course creates & develops strong foundations in the fundamentals of management and business.

This programme is meant to create leaders for the upcoming future, where there will be demands and situations to which the student will be exposed as a managerial leader. With the latest advancements in management in consideration, the course will cover international interface & global trends that are in line with the government eco-system, where the actions are being transformed from the rising opportunities. Some of the important aspects, the course will focus on are sustainability, digital transformation, and responsible leadership. Experiential learning is encouraged by the faculty for students to learn by practice. The total fee of the Executive MBA course is INR 12 Lakhs, which covers tuition fees, virtual library access (materials, cases, library materials, databases, archives, etc.), and campus immersion.

• Should have a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent percentage.
• Must have a minimum of work experience of 3 years in managerial/ professional/ entrepreneurial roles.

There is a standard evaluation system in place for the IIM Sambalpur’s Executive MBA course. The forms of evaluations used are problem-solving exercises, final exams, and assignments. In problem-solving exercises, problems are given to the students to apply their skills and knowledge to bring out innovative solutions. In assignments, the student’s knowledge of the concepts and theories is graded, also acting as an outlet to express the student’s interpretation of a concept or theory.

Then there are final exams where the student’s overall knowledge of the subject is tested, which makes the student learn systematically. The exams for Executive MBA are held in online mode. Any changes in the format will be notified by the institute before the examinations.
