Course Benefits

• The duration of the PhD program is 5 years, with one year of coursework, a Comprehensive examination and a thesis.
• IIM Vishakapatnam do not have a program fee; however, the scholars will receive financial assistance of a stipend of INR 37,000 per month for the first and second year, and a stipend of INR 42,000 per month for the third year onwards.
• The Institute provides contingency grants to the research scholars as per the UGC norms.
• The research scholars can receive up to INR 3,00,000 for international conferences and up to INR 60,000 for national conferences for accepted papers with prior approval.
• Each publication in FT50, UT Dallas 24, or ABDC A journals qualifies for an INR 50,000 grant, while publications in ABDC A journals qualify for an INR 25,000 grant, provided the TAC Chair and/or TAC Members are involved.
• IIM Vishakapatnam offers a PhD in management and its specialisations, including Decision Sciences, Economics & Social Sciences, Entrepreneurship, Finance & Accounting, Information Systems, Management Communication, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management, Production & Operations Management, and Strategy.
• Individuals with working experience can pursue their doctoral degree through the Online DBA program in three years. The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is equivalent to the PhD program. The program is characterised by flexible classes, where individuals can complete their program at their own pace and convenience. The individuals can earn a doctoral degree without appearing for any entrance examination.
