Indian Institute of Technology IIT, Indore also known as IITI, is the top place to study and is considered to be an institute of national importance. It was established with the support of the Indian government in the year 2009. Ministry of Education, Government of India started 8 new institutes, and IIT Indore is one of them. Earlier the institute functioned from a temporary campus in 2009, at Devi Ahilya University at the Institute of Engineering & Technology(under IIT Bombay Mentorship). Union Minister of the MHRD Department inaugurated the campus of the Indian Institute of Technology Indore in Feb 2009 it is spread over an area of 500+ acres and located at Simrol, Khandwa Road which is 25 minutes drive away from the main city of Indore.

 It has all the facilities on the campus for the students and it is well administered by the administrative offices, finance and account section, the school of humanities & social sciences, basic science labs and engineering labs, finance and account section, and many more all are available in the campus and students experience first-class experience to the students. The campus has a stocked library which has many resources to study and take references for research. With the aim to focus on 
Offering research-based education to the students of India the institute was established to inculcate and offer excellent academic knowledge to the students about various fields of data science, intelligent transport systems, Indian scientific knowledge, electric vehicles, space engineering, and many more.

The Institute is the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) accredited and it was ranked 396th in 2023 as per QS World University Ranking, It is ranked 14th as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Education in the engineering category and an overall 28th rank by NIRF.
