IIT Kanpur EMI Details

The candidates require a post-graduation degree in Management or Engineering, with a minimum required mark. Alternatively, a graduation degree in Engineering/Science with 75% marks is also necessary, along with a valid GATE/CAT/GMAT score. There are certain relaxations for those from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) too.

The admissions are done biennially, usually in either the first semester in July or in December for the second semester.

The minimum study period is four semesters (2 years), while a maximum period of six years is applicable for candidates holding an MBA degree.

The standard PhD course is a full-time course, and no part-time facility exists for working professionals.
