About IIT Roorkee
Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, is an autonomous institute that is located in Uttarakhand. It was established in the year 1847 and named Thomas College of Civil Engineering. This is known as the Oldest Technical Institute of Asia. The Institute is located in Haridwar District and is spread over 358.5 acres of land in Roorkee. The institute has two more campuses that are located in two places, one in Saharanpur which is 30 km away from Roorkee's main campus and the other is in Greater Noida.

Each degree programme/course offered by the university has its own admissions process and is decided solely by the university. To know more about the programmes offered and the admissions process, you can choose to visit the university website. However, for specifically the Executive MBA, following is the admissions process:
Step 1- Submit your application to IIT Roorkee on Coursera. After you submit your application, IIT Roorkee admissions team will review your application.
Step 2- If your application is found to meet the preliminary eligibility conditions, you will be invited by IIT Roorkee for an interview.
Step 3- After the interview round, if your candidature is found fit for the Executive MBA degree, you will receive an offer of admission from IIT Roorkee.

I definitely see long term value in this course. The areas that I have never learned like finance, marketing, these are areas which I had zero clue about because I’ve mostly been confined into my cocoon of software and technical work. I have enjoyed learning from people with over 30 to 40 years of experience and not just in one area, but multiple areas and have worked in top leadership positions.
