About IIFT PhD
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade is a deemed-to-be university that was established by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in 1963. The IIFT is proposed to be declared as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. The PhD programs at the business school encourage individuals to conduct research and in-depth analysis to deepen their domain knowledge.
IIFT provides full-time and part-time PhD programs to individuals at its various centers. IIFT has three main centers, having its headquarters in New Delhi, and the others are Kakinada and Kolkata.
IIFT offers PhD programs in management and economics. The duration of the program is 5-6 years. IIFT provides financial assistance to the doctoral students enrolled for a full-time program of INR 37,000 along with HRA for the first two years and INR 42,000 with HRA for the remaining three years based on the performance of the students.
Moreover, individuals can earn their doctoral degree in three years through an online DBA program. The Doctor in Business Administration (DBA) is considered equivalent to the regular PhD. In Online DBA, the program offers flexible class timings online and provides in-depth theoretical as well as practical domain knowledge.
