The examination pattern followed at Maharshi Dayanand University is the most commonly opted examination pattern, which includes two major components that is internal assessment and end-term examinations.

The internal assessment is conducted to evaluate a student's practical understanding throughout a semester and it carries approx 20-30% of the total weightage which also includes the assignments, that are assigned to every student at the beginning of every semester, whereas the end-term examinations are conducted to evaluate the overall theoretical understanding of a student and it carries 70-80% of total weightage.
