Who Can Apply?

The course takes 2 years consisting of four semesters. Students are given the liberty to complete the same at their own pace until the maximum duration as mentioned by the university.

The candidates have to be graduates in any field from a legitimate university. History or social science degrees are desirable but not necessarily a requirement.

The varsity conducts examinations either online or offline as per the requirements of the course. Continuous assessment through assignments and projects also comes into the assessment process.

Graduates can opt for the profession of a teacher, researcher, archivist, or curator in museums; that is, they can work as journalists or civil servants. They may choose higher studies or even employ themselves in heritage management and public policy.

Nalanda Open University provides all the academic material to the students through a learning portal, including e-books and recorded lectures.
