The university was originally established in 2006 and later changed its name to the famous philosopher and poet Yogi Vemana, who is widely known for his wisdom and social reforms. Yogi Vemana University (YVU) doesn't currently facilitate an Equated Monthly Installment (EMI) directly for course fee payments. However, students may utilize education loans provided by several nationalized and private banks, which usually come with flexible EMI repayment plans, to cover educational expenses. The university has made it highly convenient for students to pay their tuition, hostel, and other fees online through the SBI Collect portal. Organizations like banks and Credenc, a third-party financial platform, are ready to give students money to support their studies if the payback period is 7-12 years with an interest rate of around 11-14%, thus making higher studies accessible and affordable.

Here is the simple step-by-step admission process for Yogi Vemana University (YVU):
Step 1 : Fill out the online admission form on the official YVU website very carefully.
Step 2 : Check the eligibility criteria for the course students want through the University website.
Step 3 : Performance on the entrance examination is mandatory only for certain courses. Among these, AP EAMCET, AP ICET, and YVUCET are some of the most important exams. Be an applicant if required.
Step 4 : In general, the candidate should make sure that he/she has all the documents, such as mark sheets, ID proof, transfer certificate, category certificate (if any), and photos ready for use.
Step 5 : Pay the application fee through the online payment method of their choice.
Step 6 : If students are given an entrance exam, get students admission card from the website.
Step 7 : Once the examination/form submission is completed, the merit list or rank list is published on the YVU website.
Step 8 : If students are selected, come to the counseling center with their original documents for verification.
Step 9 : After confirmation of their seat, the payment of the admission fee is made.
Step 10 : After the classes would begin, come for the instruction, and later on, the university schedule

Yogi Vemana University (YVU) Examination Pattern
Yogi Vemana University (YVU) has most of its degree programs structured in a semester-based evaluation system, which operates on the CBCS (Choice-Based Credit System). Any course is a mixture of internal assessment and the exams conducted at the end of the semester. In general, theory papers are divided into two parts:
- Part A (short questions)
- Part B (essay-type questions with internal choices).
Internal assessment (assignments, class tests, seminars) and semester-end theory/practical exams usually share the total marks in a 25:75 ratio for theory papers. For lab/practical and project-based works, the stage of practical performance, viva voce, and dissertations is considered for evaluation. The minimum mark to pass the semester is 35% in each theory/practical paper individually and 40% when adding up with internal + external marks.

YVU is the best for the students of A.P. It is worth it to join if you want to pay cheap fees, get help from the staff, and follow the academic structure, which is good.

It is a big and green university with a nice atmosphere. The hostel and the library are good, but the placements can get better for some courses.
