Eligibility Criteria
B.Tech course eligibility depends on the following criteria.
- Candidates must complete 10+2 or equivalent examinations from a recognized educational board like CBSE, ICSE, etc.
- Candidates should possess an aggregate minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

1. JEE Mains
JEE Main is given by the candidates to get admission into the well-known IIITs, NITs and other more prestigious engineering institutes of the nation. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) four times a year – February, March, April & May. JEE Mains will be held in computer-based mode (except the drawing section of Paper 2 (B.Arch) which is a pen and paper-based exam). The examination is divided into two papers – Paper 1 is for B.Tech/B.E and Paper 2 is for B.Arch or B.Planning. Every Year more than 12 lakh applicants appear for this examination. 2. BITSAT
BITSAT is an online-based university level engineering entrance exam conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS). After clearing BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) the candidates can get admission to all three campuses of BITS Pilani. Every year Around 2 lakh applicants appear for this examination. The duration of the online examination is 3 hours and it is the objective-based BITSAT question paper is divided into four sections – Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning and finally Mathematics.
3. MET
Manipal Academy of Higher Education conducts an online-based entrance examination for admissions into the engineering colleges of Manipal University. Basically, Manipal Entrance Test (MET) is a University level examination that brings in over 50,000 applicants per year. Admissions are provided in 16 engineering courses to the candidates after clearing MET. The entrance exam is held in online mode and the time duration of the test will be 150 minutes during which the candidates need to answer around 90 multiple-choice questions.
4. VITEEE
The VIT University conducts the University level entrance examination named VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Exam) and around 2 lakh students appear for it every year. Around 5000 undergraduate engineering seats are available for eligible applicants under VITEEE. The mode of examination is online and will be objective in nature. Within the duration of 2½ hours, the applicants will have to solve 125 questions from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Aptitude and English sections.
5. SRMJEE
The SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEE) is conducted by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology for checking the aptitude knowledge of the students. Every year, around 1 lakh students apply for this entrance examination. The entrance examination consists of 125 questions and the applicants will have to qualify for the exam for admissions in SRM University.
6. COMEDK UGET
COMEDK UGET conducted by the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). Admissions to the B.Tech courses offered by the Associations of Medical, Dental and Engineering private colleges in the state of Karnataka is only possible after clearing the COMEDK UGET entrance exam. Around 20,000 B.Tech seats are offered for admission under B.Tech. The examination is 3 hours long and is based on the syllabus of the 10+2 standard. The applicants need to solve 180 multiple choice questions for admission.
7. KIITEE
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology conducts KIITEE entrance examination. The examination is held annually for admissions of eligible applicants into the 4-year B.Tech programmes offered by the institute. KIITEE consists of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and is conducted in online mode. The qualifying marks have to be obtained by the applicants for admission.
8. SITEEE
Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (SITEEE) is conducted by Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT). The applicants who qualify SITEEE will be offered admission into the engineering department of the institute. The University level entrance exam offers admission to eligible applicants to the B.Tech program. The time duration of the SITE Entrance Examination is 150 minutes.
9. AMUEEE
AMUEEE is a University level entrance examination conducted by Aligarh Muslim University for admissions to the B.Tech programs. Based on the merit and rank obtained in the entrance exam, the eligible applicants are offered admission to the university. AMUEEE time duration is 3 hours during which the candidates need to solve objective-based 150 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
10. MHT CET
State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai will conduct the MHT CET or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for admissions to first-year of B.Tech programs in various engineering colleges of Maharashtra. It is a pen and paper-based engineering entrance test. Around 4 lakh students appear in MHT CET every year. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 and are domiciled in Maharashtra are eligible to apply for MHT CET. Candidates have to cover the Maha HSC syllabus to prepare for MHT CET.
