2) RBI Grade B Officer After BCom

You can also work in the most reputable government institution that is RBI(Reserve Bank of India) and it is the top choice of candidates especially for the students from Commerce field. The students get the chance to work as RBI Grade B officers at entry-level positions. The salary of an RBI Grade B officer is INR 55,200 per month. You can also become an RBI Grade B Officer after appearing and clearing the cutoff of the entrance examination.

But to appear in this examination candidates must fulfil certain eligibility criteria -

  • Candidates applying for the examination must have passed graduation in any discipline. 
  • The candidates must have scored 60% marks in their qualifying degree. 
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee.
  • Candidate must be between 21-30 age group.
  • Candidates from the general category can apply for this examination, for only 6 attempts and unlimited attempts are given to the students belonging to the reserved category.

3) SBI PO and SBI Clerk Examination.

State Bank of India, another reputed institute of government also conducts examinations for the post of PO and clerk. The examination level is comparatively moderate to tough and many students apply for these examinations. The students' examinations are conducted once a year.

Candidates must keep an eye on the notification release of these examinations. The Salary of SBI Clerk ranges between INR 19,900 INR to INR INR 30,000 per month. While the salary of SBI PO is INR 41,960 per month.

Jobs through UPSC/ SSC after BCom

After completion of the BCom, you can enrol in job posts that are offered by UPSC and SSC. You can also become an IAS officer, or IPS Officer after completion of the BCom. Here are some job posts that can be pursued by you after completion of BCom. 

1) UPSC Civil Services Examination after BCom

You can appear in a national-level examination that is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. This examination is conducted once a year and has many stages to get the job posts. UPSC is the World’s second-toughest examination and India’s toughest examination.

After successfully clearing the examination, the students get the chance to work as IAS, IPS, IFS and many more. The examination is conducted in three stages, preliminary examination, mains examination and a personal interview level round. BCom graduates can apply for these examinations and after clearing the entrance examination, they can get job posts at IMA(Indian Military Academy) and OTA(Officers’ Training Academy). The salary of the UPSC CDS officer ranges between INR 39,000 to INR 90,000 per month along with other perks.

3) SSC CGL Examination

This examination is conducted once a year by the Staff Selection Commission. The examination is conducted in three stages including a preliminary examination that consists of four sections: general aptitude, reasoning, general awareness and English. The next examination is the SSC CGL mains examination which includes mathematics and English section along with computer knowledge.

The mains examinations also consist of a typing test that is done on the same day as in SSC CGL mains. After clearing the SSC CGL examination, a candidate can earn in the range of Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month.
