Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is about to launch its 4 new open & distance learning postgraduate courses from the coming academic session which is 2022-23. The varsity is currently seeking permission from the University Grants Commission (UGC) for Open & Distance Learning (ODL) programs for the forthcoming academic session.
The varsity is planning to provide courses in MA Sociology, MA Economics, MBA Core, and MBA Energy Management in both online and distance modes for the next academic session. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is waiting for the approval of the commission to provide online and distance learning programs. As soon as the varsity gets the nod, the process for the distance courses will begin, said the director of the Centre for Open and Online Education, Dr Pratosh Bansal.

However, the varsity already got approval from UGC to provide open learning programs, but there are some technical issues which the university is working on. The university also opened the Centre for Open and Online Education the last year and the process of the content of these courses is ongoing.
