Hello, I believe it’s my responsibility to give my valuable comments to the university from where I did my higher education. I, Darshit Sen from Agartala, get myself enrolled in NMIMS University in the year 2017 for the program PGDBM in Marketing Management and now I’m working as a Marketing Manager in a top MNC. So today I felt like giving my valuable review to the university so that it will help other aspirants that are looking for the same.
Before selecting this university there were several essential points that need to be fulfilled which I got to know from sources in search of the best university. The important points were whether it is approved, so yes it is a UGC-DEB approved university and also it has NAAC ‘A+’ accreditation which shows that it serves all the valid courses, so this is where I felt relaxed on the first hand but it isn’t over yet there are several other very important factors such as placement, infrastructure, faculty, curriculum, infrastructure, learning framework, and is it value for money or not. Let’s get started then without wasting any of your time.
Infrastructure
I’m talking about the distance program of NMIMS University so it is the online infrastructure that is all about the website, and yes it is easily accessible and you can find detailed information about all the programs you needed without a doubt. So as per my experience, I would give 4 stars for its distance & online education framework.
Placement
4.3 stars out of 5 as this university prepares completely inside out for the performance both to eventually get the best job. With the subject knowledge, there are options of skill-enhancing training which helps me in building up my confidence to face interviews. Currently, I’m in one of the top organizations with a great learning experience at NMIMS University. Getting placed with the distance learning program was a dream come true, I was already a working professional and this course and university helped me in getting much better career opportunities.
Webinars
The university even conducts webinars for distance & online learning candidates so that they will get lectures from a real-time industry expert and learn from their experience. I attended some of them earlier that are fruitful and helped me a lot in learning. 4.2 rating.
Faculty
hmm.. definitely 4 stars for the faculty because if it’s about distance & online learning then there are very few chances to get a good quality of faculty but I was amazed to see the industry-experienced faculty who taught so good that it feels like live lectures in the classroom sometimes. They even provide guest lectures by an industry expert that can give you real-time insights and an idea of what industry is all about so that it is easier to work in the future.
Curriculum
4.1 stars for the curriculum framework. Similarly, there was so much confusion in my mind regarding curriculum but they don’t just give you a revised curriculum with inculcating the latest industry needs and technology but also teach in a way that is quite understandable and easier to learn. It is not a myth they actually do revise the curriculum every 6 months, and that is what a very crucial point to be noted as it helped me a lot to understand the latest requirements and technology.
Learning Material
In online education there is a complete framework for distance education seeking candidates called as Learning Management System (LMS), in which there are several features such as recorded video lectures, alumni connect, live lectures, e-books, e-library, and so many other learning features that makes it advanced yet profitable learning experience. So its no time to feel left out, now you being a distance learning student is also as important as the regular one’s, no more discrimination, at least I didn’t felt it. Oh, I forgot.. I give 4.4 stars.
Value for Money
A 4 they deserve, any program from NMIMS University is surely a value for money. I’ve seen students from both UG and PG courses and they all are getting great learning experience and value in the market. There was no discrimination all they need are knowledge and experience, and NMIMS provides you complete knowledge and chances to gain experience while you learn by doing distance & online education.
