B.Tech Lateral Entry – Introduction

B.Tech is a bachelor’s degree programme in engineering that offers a wide range of specialisations or divisions. B.Tech Lateral Entry allows students to enrol in equivalent engineering programs directly in the second year. B.Tech Lateral Entry is the equivalent of a B.Tech course, but it is only available for students who have completed a 3-year diploma or polytechnic course.

Students who have completed their three-year diploma programme after the tenth grade will skip the first year and enrol in second-year B.E/B.Tech programmes.
