Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended its last date of admission 2024. The admission procedure of IGNOU is both online and offline. Students can take admission either by visiting the website of the university or can directly take admission from the regional center of IGNOU.
IGNOU closed its registration window for the Jan 2024 admission on 31st March 2024. IGNOU will soon re-open the registration window for the July 2024 session however, there are some alternatives of IGNOU you can look at. For more details click here.
Follow the following steps to take admission successfully:
IGNOU Online Admission Process
Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU to fill out the application form.
Step 2: Click on the “Register Online” option and then choose the “Fresh admission” option from the drop-down.
Step3: Then fill in all the details in the student registration form.
Step 4: After completing the above process, students need to upload all the necessary documents for the verification process.
Step 5: Then, proceed to submit the academic fees online with the help of any digital payment option(Credit/debit card, net banking, Paytm, Google Pay, etc.) available on the portal.
Step 6: In the end, students will receive a confirmation mail after the verification of documents by the concerned regional center of IGNOU which generally takes 2 months.

What is the Eligibility & Fee Structure for IGNOU Distance & Online Courses?
Admission to any program of IGNOU is on a meritorious basis and students need to comply with the selection or eligibility criteria of the programs of IGNOU. Students generally have to complete their bachelor’s degree to get selected in the Master’s program and 10 + 2 to get selected in the bachelor’s program.
- MBA for Ignou: Graduation score plus OPENMAT score will be taken into consideration.
- BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BCA/BSW/BBA: Score obtained in 10 + 2 or equivalent.
- BBA in service Management: Admission based on entrance and interview.
- PG Diploma: Admission based on the score obtained in graduation.
