In India, Space Technology Engineers can work with ISRO, DRDO, and the Indian government whereas the door for the NASA and government US agencies is also open for candidates with the right skill sets.
Master of Technology in Astronomy & Space Engineering is a multidisciplinary 2-year program that focuses on the study and research of space science.
IIT Roorkee built the academic centre, “Centre for Space Science & Technology” to focus on the vision and mission of the ISRO. For admission, candidates have to qualify for the GATE entrance exam and top-ranked candidates are preferred by the institute. However, under the “Golden Girl Scheme”, female candidates are given direct admission if they are the first rank holder or gold medallist in an IIT or university ranked among 50 by NIRF.
The first requirement of MTech Space Technology Admission 2024 is that applicants must complete the graduation from a recognized university in the relevant domain. After that, they have to appear for the entrance exam. But, some universities allow enrollment without an entrance exam. If they don’t want to apply for the entrance exam, they have the choice to fill out the application form from those universities that don’t conduct entrance exams.
