Online BA in English Admission Procedure
The full admission procedure is completed online, but in some cases (ODL mode), students may need to dispatch scanned copies of their documents to the university through post.
- The students must first visit the official university website.
- Upon visiting the website of the university, the candidate can choose to apply to the program.
- They must fill out the application form of the university with their basic educational and qualification details.
- After this, the candidate needs to attach the digital copies of their personal and academic documents as necessitated by the university for verification. In the case of an ODL program, the student would have to dispatch physical scanned copies of their documents to the university campus for verification.
- Once the application of the candidate has been screened and their admission confirmed, the candidate must pay their course fee and registration/admission/application fee.
- The fee payment as well as the admission procedure is completed online, so the student should have access to online payment options like net banking/UPI payment, etc.
Most universities don’t conduct any entrance for admission to this course.

Cost decided this for me. Seeing the full fee and the EMI options before speaking to anyone meant I could plan the three years properly, instead of finding out later.

I work full time and had been putting this off. I needed a BBA made for that, not one that assumes you are free on a weekday afternoon.

This is my first degree, and I could not tell a good university from a good advertisement. The comparison was simple, and nobody pushed me. I chose it myself.

I want to work in finance one day. So the question was not which B.Com is best, but which one takes me there. College Vidya helped me work that out.

My family was not sure an online degree counts for anything. Having the approval details to show them settled it. That conversation was harder than picking the university.

FAQ's
Let's clear up some doubts
Yes, an online B.A. in English is a valid degree course as accredited by UGC-DEB. This means that if this degree is obtained from an accredited and approved university, then it will be considered valid and equivalent in value to an offline degree.
This is an undergraduate course and hence has a duration of 3 years, which is divided across 6 semesters for course completion.
The full fee will depend mainly on the university you choose to pursue this course from, but the average fees for an online B.A. (English) course vary between INR 30,000 and INR 50,000.
The career scope after an online B.A. (English) is quite satisfactory since it is of equivalent value to an offline degree, and hence students can apply to all career domains that an offline graduate is eligible to apply to. They can explore careers in fields related to news writing, professorship, academia, writing, media writing, editing, and so on.
Yes, when obtained from an approved and accredited university, this course is equivalent in value and validity to an offline degree, so students can easily apply to relevant government jobs after completing this course.
Usually, universities do not have entrances for admission to this course. The selection is based on the academic qualification of the candidate and how well they are able to meet the eligibility rules set by the institution. Some universities may have their own screening procedures, such as through interviews, etc.
