The flexible program is not offered in a fully online mode, so this is a hybrid program. This does not mean that the program lacks hands-on experience. BITS Pilani M.Tech WILP program is an industry-oriented program that provides virtual labs for a better understanding of the concepts.

Course Fees

The BITS Pilani M.Tech Data Science & Engineering WILP program has a total program fee of INR 3,34,400. The first semester includes a one-time application fee of INR 1,500, a one-time admission fee of INR 18,500, and a semester fee of INR 78,600. From the second to the fourth semester, the semester fee is INR 78,600 per semester.

Admissions are currently open for the October 2026 batch of the M.Tech Data Science & Engineering WILP program. The program is designed for working professionals and requires candidates to meet the academic and employment eligibility criteria. Applicants need a B.E./B.Tech., M.Sc., MCA, or equivalent qualification with at least 60% marks, along with relevant programming and mathematical knowledge and work experience in the relevant field. 

Syllabus

The program curriculum is designed to develop skills across data science, data engineering, analytics, machine learning, and related areas. Core areas include Mathematical Foundations for Data Science, Introduction to Data Science, Data Structures and Algorithm Design, Statistical Methods, Big Data Systems, Data Warehousing, Graph Algorithms and Mining, Data Management for Machine Learning, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Data Visualization, Information Retrieval, and Stream Processing and Analytics. Learners also complete a dissertation as part of the program.
