FAQ's
Let's clear up some doubts
No, ODL itself stands for Online and Distance Learning. However, UGC-DEB has approved universities to offer online degrees which are considered equivalent to any regular degree.
Not all online courses are accredited, but many online degree courses are. You need to check the courses and the universities over the official website of the University Grant Commission (UGC) which is a government body that approves the universities to offer specific programs.
Online degrees give you the flexibility to study wherever you feel like studying. Online degrees are more affordable than traditional degrees (regular ones). It does not interfere with your office hours if you are a working professional.
It’s just a matter of presence, in the online sessions or live classes you can interact with the teacher over the meets (google), zoom, or the Learning Management system (LMS) whereas in traditional classes, teachers are present physically in front of you.
