IIM Amritsar offers a 2-year Executive MBA programme, designed for working professionals, which consists of a multidisciplinary set of subjects to learn business management. As there is a rising demand for management professionals due to economic growth, this course helps to contribute towards bridging the gap between the supply and demand of management professionals in the economy. 

This course empowers the student to come up with strategies for solving business-related problems that are complex by nature. It also helps develop team-building skills to create a well-coordinated team that cooperates and collaborates, leading to a desired output. The student is meant to be trained through this course to lead the dynamic organisational environment toward growth and success.

This course is delivered in hybrid mode in which the classes are held live and online. Along with that, two-time on-campus immersion is provided where the student gets to experience the campus of IIM Amritsar and the planned activities conducted by the institute. The student during the course gets access to the highly qualified IIM Amritsar faculty and industry leaders from diverse backgrounds.

An international immersion programme is also provided during the course The curriculum consists of core courses, elective courses, and a project. The programme fee for this course is INR 12 Lakhs. This programme fee includes course material, books, tuition, library services, membership facilities for various clubs and committees of IIM Amritsar, and the expenses of campus immersion modules.

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline in which the academic performance must be consistent.
• Should have done a minimum of 3 years of work experience after the completion of graduation.
• Must have a valid score in one of these - GRE/GMAT/CAT or a valid score in IIM Amritsar Admission Test (IAAT).

The institute offers financial assistance to students. They have various scholarships that students can apply for while pursuing their management program. But before applying to these scholarships it is mandatory to check the eligibility criteria for the same. The awardee of the scholarship must have a good scholastic background. There are many banks that grants education loan to students that help them cover all their college expenses be it tuition fee, hostel fee, and all other charges. 

IIM Amritsar’s Executive MBA course has a proper evaluation and examination system in place. These examinations and evaluations are carried out to test the student’s knowledge and learning ability. Tests like quizzes, final exams, projects, etc. are held. Quizzes cover topics in a way that the essential knowledge of the subject is tested among the students. The evaluation of the student is done on the basis of who answers and who doesn’t answer the questions asked in the class. Then there is a project where the student gets to apply the knowledge of concepts and theories learned during the course and make/discover something new as the outcome of the project. Then there are final exams which test the student’s subject knowledge in a complete manner that is also a platform to express knowledge and retain whatever the student has learned about the subject.

IIM Amritsar has a decent track record when it comes to placing their students from the Executive MBA batch, at companies that are looking for skilled professionals. IIM Amritsar has partnered with numerous companies to place their students. Some of these companies that participated in the placements were Fanatics, EY, Cipla, Emami, Cognizant, HCL, Godrej, etc. The highest placement record achieved by the batch was a CTC of around INR 35-37 LPA.
