IIM Banglore Online BBA in Digital Business & Entrepreneurship

The Online BBA in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship is an online 3-year degree provided by IIM Bangalore that is based on the current industry needs with respect to the rise of integration of business with the digital possibilities advancing in this digital era and also exploring the different dimensions & dynamics of entrepreneurship. IIM Bangalore is ranked 2nd in the NIRF Rankings 2023 in the Management category. It has also been accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) and Global Network for Advanced Management.

Through this programme, the student gets to frame & execute strategies that the businesses will require to thrive in the age of digitalisation. Students are exposed to fresh knowledge when it comes to the latest technologies that are digital. One of the key learnings from this programme is to develop the skill to identify avenues of opportunities and make strategic decisions for the growth of the business. Basically, the programme focuses on three aspects that are fundamental principles of business, innovative practices of entrepreneurship, and framing strategies relevant to the digital world.

For business transformation, the students are trained in leveraging analytical tools and techniques used to extract insights & figures that are meant to be used for making prime decisions for a business. 

When it comes to the curriculum, it is designed innovatively in such a way that it merges the three main aspects that are meant to be developed in a student so that the student as a professional thrives in a dynamically changing business environment. Firstly, entrepreneurial acumen will be forged to learn the workings and dynamics of being an entrepreneur. Then the curriculum consists of aspects that develop the business management skills in depth that will make a good leader out of the student. Finally, the student gets to develop the relevant skills required to handle digital technology.

This programme is held in asynchronous online mode. The examinations of the programme are held in offline mode. These exams are held in various centres across the country. The time limit for the completion of this programme is 6 years. The student gets the advantage of exiting the course multiple times. If the student successfully finishes the first year he/she will receive a certificate; if completes two years, the student can exit with a diploma; and the complete three years will fetch him/her a degree. 

The eligibility criteria for getting into this Online BBA in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship programme are given in the following-

• Should have passed class 10th or its equivalent.
• Should have passed class 12th or its equivalent.
• A minimum score of 60% or equivalent CGPA in class 12th and 55% or equivalent CGPA for SC, ST and PwD (>=40% disability) candidates.
• Should be an Indian national.
• Should have cleared the IIMB DBE (IIM Bangalore Digital Business and Entrepreneurship) entrance test that tests the aptitude of the student.

The Examination for students enrolled in full-time courses will be done in traditional pen-paper mode. However, the institution has given flexibility to the students pursuing online programs. They are not supposed to visit any University or study center for examination or project submission. Online examination will be done through the examination portal of the University.

Students are advised to read all the guidelines and advisories before appearing for the final examination. Also, the students have to submit the assignments or projects allotted by the University, that will be required for the evaluation process. They provide self-paced learning material that helps students to appear for the examination.
