Indian Institute of Management Mumbai offers a PhD program in numerous management disciplines. It offers PhD programs in Operations & Supply Chain Management, Analytics & Data Science, Finance, Economics & Strategy, Marketing, Sustainability Management, Organisational Behaviour & HRM.  

For a PhD in Management program at IIM Mumbai, the thesis can be submitted in a minimum duration of two years. Five years is the maximum period. However, scholars may also request a one- to two-year extension to submit their research thesis.

To apply for the PhD in Management at the Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai, candidates must fulfill its eligibility requirements. The criteria for admission to this program are mentioned below-

• 2-year Master's Degree or PG Diploma in Management or relevant discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% or equivalent marks. 
• 5-year Integrated master’s degree that is completed after intermediate from a recognized university with 55% or equivalent marks.
• Both a bachelor's degree with 50% and professional qualifications like a CA, CS, or CMA with at least 50%. 
• 8 Semester/ 4-Year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with at least 6.5 CGPA. 
• Qualification in entrance examinations such as CAT, GRE, GMAT, GATE, and UGC NET.

Regular Ph.D. scholars must pay INR 65,000 in program fees for the first year, which includes INR 24,000 in tuition, and INR 55,000 in the second year and thereafter.

Yes, to get admission to a PhD in Management at IIM Mumbai, one must qualify for the CAT, GRE, GMAT, UGC JRF, or other management entrance exams.
