IISc Bangalore University Admission Process

Students willing to enroll in the Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore must check for the eligibility criteria for their selected program and follow the admission process mentioned below- 

Application form- The first step in the admission process of IISc Bangalore is filling out the application form. To complete the application form, students must follow the steps mentioned below-

• Step 1- Visit the official website of the Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore.
• Step 2- Navigate to the admission section and select register yourself with a valid mobile number and email ID.
• Step 3- Upon registration, you will get an application number and number, and password from IISc.
• Step 4- Enter the application number and password and click on sign in.
• Step 5- Enter the information required by IISc and attach the necessary documents.
• Step 6-Select the appropriate course based on your preference.
• Step 7- Review your application after selecting the preferred course.
• Step 8- Apply and pay the application fees.
• Step 9-  After successful payment of the application fee, you will receive a confirmation on your registered email with a PDF attachment validating your application submission.
• Step 10- Save the PDF file for future reference.

Appear for Qualification Examination- Upon successful submission of the application forms, students have to appear for various qualification examinations as per their selected courses. The qualification examinations differ from course to course. Here is a brief overview of the qualification examinations required for every course-

• Undergraduate Courses- JEE Main/JEE Advance/IISER Aptitude Test/NEET(UG) with a valid score.
• Postgraduate Courses- CEED or GATE.
• PhD- GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR NET, etc. 

Interview- Students passing the qualification exams will be called for an interview at the IISc Bangalore. Based on the performance of the students, IISc will shortlist and prepare a merit list. 

Admission Offer- Based on the merit list, IISc will offer admission to the students in their selected courses. Students can secure admission at IISc in their preferred courses by paying the admission fees.
