IIT Bombay or the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was established in 1958, Bombay was established with 14 different academic departments with foreign assistance and with the help of funds from UNESCO from the Soviet Union helped in the foundation of IIT Bombay. In the year 1961, all the IITs were considered Institutes of National Importance. It is a globally recognised institute that offers various bachelor’s, master’s and many doctoral programs from the institute.  

This institute is located in Powai, Mumbai. It is a residential institute that accommodates many students in 15 of its hostels. The campus has all the facilities like sports, clubs and societies and many recreational clubs. The campus is a small town in itself with rich flora and fauna.
