IIT Goa

Indian Institute of Technology Goa was established by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India in 2016. IIT Goa Online is a young member of the IIT family and it is among a few IITs that were established in 2016, but the central government allotted IIT to Goa in 2014 and in 2016 IIT Goa started functioning under the temporary campus of Goa Engineering College (GEC).

The Campus of IIT Goa Online is situated in Farmagudi, Goa and currently, it is offering multiple undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in different specializations. There are 7+ schools of study at the IIT Goa Online campus that offer globally recognized education in their relevant field. For the initial three years, IIT Goa was under the mentorship of IIT Bombay. Human Resource Development (HRD) has set up a dedicated IIT monitoring cell under the main campus of IIT Bombay with well-trained faculty members on special duty to monitor and look after the IIT Goa and the process of setting it up.

Indian Institute of Technology is the top-notch institute in the country for science and technology, with its global competent education system and abroad exposure. The institute aims to build leadership quality among every student and equip each individual with hands-on engineering skills to stand in the international competitive market. Apart from studies the IIT Goa Online also encourages students in extracurricular activities with their various clubs and societies specially set up for dance, photography, literature, and other activities. IIT Goa Online also ranks  90th under the Engineering category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

IIT Goa Online offers various globally recognized undergraduate and postgraduate programs in different specializations and the institution is making world-class leaders with industry-oriented skills and leadership qualities. The fee structure of every offered program varies from one to another, but the students can pay the fee semester-wise. Students facing financial constraints can avail of the loan option offered by the institute to help students in pursuing their higher studies. Students can also avail of the scholarships offered at the institute as financial aid, before applying for any scholarship students must go through the eligibility criteria and apply according to them. The examinations at IIT Goa Online are conducted to enhance the hands-on-engineering skills and leadership qualities among the students with global exposure. The examinations are conducted in semester pattern at the institute and the main aim of the exams is to evaluate the overall theoretical and practical understanding of an individual throughout their program. The examination process has two main components: internal assessment and term-end examinations. Students can view the previous year's question paper for a brief understanding.
