Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras is one of the top institutes in India. It is the second established institute of the IIT family. It all started with the envision of then Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru after they visited Germany where he was supported by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany to establish institutes for high technology studies.  Right after the signing of the Indo-German Agreement in 1959. The Institute is giving fee waivers to many students, depending on certain eligibility criteria. The Examination is done by the institute in online mode. However, this applies only to students enrolled in online degree programs. The institute conducts online examinations through the online platform or LMS. The institute ensures high security and strict monitoring. The institute is also using remote assessment conduction, the students have to complete the examination in a stipulated time frame. Students must have tech devices like computers with good internet connectivity.
