The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) encourages students to gain in-depth knowledge of their domain. IIFT also encourages the students to conduct research independently by applying the methodologies.  The faculty of the IIFT provides guidance to the doctoral students to gain more management insights. The Phd in Management program at IIFT is offered in broad areas- including finance, OB &HR, strategy, global trade operations and logistics, IT applications management, marketing, and operations & supply. The PhD in management program is offered in Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. 

The duration of the PhD program is 6 years. There is no program fee for the Indian full-time PhD scholars. However,  to assist students in carrying out their research, IIFT offers monthly fellowship stipends to the students. The enrolled students in a full-time PhD program receive a monthly fellowship of INR 37,000 along with the HRA for the first two years. An amount of INR 42,000, along with the HRA for the remaining three years. 

Moreover, you can also opt for the online DBA program. In a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), you will earn a doctoral degree along with the ‘Dr’ title, similar to the regular PhD. It offers flexible program timings, which you can pursue from your home without clearing any entrance exams.
