Jagan Nath University was established on April 16, 2008, by an Act of the Rajasthan State Legislature (Act No. 19 of 2008). The university is located in Jaipur and is approved under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. It is also NAAC (2nd Cycle) with an "A" grade in 2022. Jagannath University is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). As a reflection of the university’s reputation in quality education, it has been specifically accredited by ICAR for 5 years of its B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture program.

There is no clear information about the EMI options for the university’s online and distance learning programs. However, students do have the option of online payments other than bank drafts. Moreover, to ease the financial burden on students, the university has provided the option to pay semester-based course fees.
Jagannath University Online Admission Process
The admission process to the online and distance learning courses of Jagannath University are slightly different from those offered on-campus. The steps to enroll in any of these CDOE courses are as follows:
Step 1: Online Counseling: Interested candidates would be connected with the university’s online counselors for their counseling, where they will get clarity on the course and university.
Step 2: Online Registration: After attending the counseling session, students will have to register on the university’s admission portal by paying an amount of 500 INR.
Step 3: Document Verification: After the registration process, students will upload all the required documents on the admission portal, which will be verified by the university’s admission committee within the next 48 hours.
Step 4: Fee Payment: After the document verification, shortlisted candidates will be sent the course fee payment link from the university’s admission team on their official mail ID.
Step 5: LMS Access: After the fee payment step, students will get access to the LMS of their course and other learning materials to start with the program.
