Jawaharlal Nehru University Admission Process

Students interested in various courses at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) have to go through the admission process mentioned below- 

• Application form- Jawaharlal Nehru entertains admission based on the performance of the students in the CUET(Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The students need to fill out the application form at the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The detailed application is mentioned below- 

Step 1- Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency.

Step 2- Select the link for CUET.

Step 3- Enter the mobile number and email ID to register yourself.

Step 4- Once the registration is complete, a unique application number and password will be generated.

Step 5- Sign in with the application number and password provided by NTA.

Step 6- Fill in the information required by the National Testing Agency.

Step 7- Attach the documents required by the NTA.

Step 8- Review the form once all the information is filled out and all the required documents are attached.

Step 9- Submit the form and proceed with the application fee payment.

Step 10- Select the payment method for application fees and approve the payment. 

Step 11- A mail specifying the successful registration will be sent by NTA.

Step 12- Save the mail for future reference and to download the admit card. 

However, students who wish to enroll in JNU must apply for their selected course at the official website of JNU. Without a valid application, JNU will not entertain admission to any course. 

• Written CUET Test- After successful submission of the application form, NTA will release the admit card for the written CUET exam. Students have to appear for CUET exams at their designated exam centers. The CUET consists of objective types of questions. For every correct, students will be awarded 5 marks and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.
• Interview/Viva Voice- Based on the performance in CUET and JNU cutoffs, registered students will have to appear for the Interview/ Viva voice at the university campus. The admission committee of JNU will prepare a merit list for the students who have performed well in the interview.
• Admission offer- The students selected in the merit list of the JNU will receive an admission offer from the university. Students are required to accept the admission offer by paying the admission fees.
