B.Tech courses are provided in NIT Raipur, and through centralized JoSAA counselling, the admission is on the basis of JEE Main. The eligibility criteria require the candidates to pass the JEE Main, so they must have 75% in Class XII or top 20 percentile in the General category and 65 %in SC / ST / PwD category, attend JoSAA counselling rounds and receive a seat based on their choice and rank.

NIT Raipur also has several scholarship programs such as 100 percent tuition fee waiver to SC/ST/PwD students, complete waiver of fees to economically-backward students (family income below 1 lakh), 2/3 rd waiver to families with incomes in the 1-5 lakh bracket every year, merit based scholarships, and other government schemes such as Post Matric Scholarship, schemes of the National Scholarship Portal, and privately provided scholarships.
